Dr. Miravalle is a board-certified neurologist who sub-specializes in Multiple Sclerosis and related neuro-immunological disorders of the brain and spinal cord. Dr. Miravalle has been involved in both clinical and science based research. He is a member of many professional societies and advisory boards. He has been invited as speaker at national and international meetings. He has published numerous scientific articles and served as a consultant to various scientific organizations.
Before joining UC, Dr. Miravalle served as Associate Professor, Associate Chair of Education and Chief of the Multiple Sclerosis Division at the University of Florida, College of Medicine. He served as Chair for the National MS Society Health Care Council in the State of Florida. Before moving to Florida, Dr. Miravalle was a member of the Rocky Mountain MS Center and faculty at the University of Colorado, Department of Neurology.
Dr. Miravalle received his medical degree at the University of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his Neurology Residency Training at Loyola University where he served as chief resident of education. He subsequently completed a clinical neuro-immunology fellowship at Harvard University. Dr. Miravalle was the recipient of the 2012 American Neurological Association, Medical Education Fellowship Award, 2015 American Academy of Neurology Research in Education Award, and 2015 American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Faculty Education Innovation Award.
