Dr. Christopher Owens, PharmD, MPH is Associate Vice President for Health Sciences at Idaho State University (ISU) and holds a faculty position in the ISU College of Pharmacy. He is also an adjunct instructor for the University of Florida Online Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. He is a past clinical coordinator for Idaho’s Drug Utilization Review (DUR) Program with Idaho Medicaid and is a past president of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Pharmacy Ethics Special Interest Group. At ISU he lectures on a variety of bioethical, professional, and clinical practice topics to students in pharmacy, nursing, and physician assistant professional programs. His areas of clinical interest include inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. His scholarly work has been published in the Journal of the America Pharmacists Association, Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy, and The American Journal of Medicine.
