Dr. Jamie McConaha is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in the Division of Pharmacy Practice. After graduating from Duquesne, she completed a two-year academic and teaching fellowship with the school. During her fellowship, Dr. McConaha became interested in the topics of dermatology and cosmeceuticals, which led to the implementation of a new elective course at the university. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. McConaha joined the school of pharmacy’s clinical faculty. Dr. McConaha continues to teach her dermatology elective, as well as other dermatologic topics within the required curriculum. She continued interest in this topic area has led to several peer-reviewed publications and speaking engagements at the local, state, and national level. Dr. McConaha’s clinical practice site is with Primary Care Physicians, a primary care physician practice in Pittsburgh, PA. In this setting, Dr. McConaha offers a variety of clinical services for her patients including medication therapy management appointments, transition of care consults, and group tobacco cessation classes.
