Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Cardiology

Dr. Kristen Pogue is an inpatient cardiology clinical pharmacy specialist at Michigan Medicine and adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Wayne State University and completed her PGY-1 and PGY-2 Cardiology residency training at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). She currently serves as the residency program director for the UMHS PGY2 Cardiology pharmacy residency and is actively involved in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and American College of Cardiology. Her clinical and research interests include pulmonary hypertension, anticoagulation, and heart failure/transplant and she has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals. She has spoken both locally and nationally on the complexities of managing pharmacotherapy in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
