LeeAnn Mengel, RN, MBA, CMPE, FACHE, is the Vice President of Baptist MD Anderson. She is responsible for strategy and operations of the cancer and works in a dyad relationship with the cancer center medical director, Bill Putnam, MD. LeeAnn’s roots began in oncology when her career at Baptist Health started as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. She received her bachelors of Science degree in nursing from Florida State University. She later coupled her clinical interest with her interested in business and obtained an MBA. Mengel is a member and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Member and Board Certified with the Medical Group Managers Association, member of the Association of Cancer Executives, and a member of Oncology Nursing Society. She has served on the Ronald McDonald House board, Elder source board and will Co-chair 2019 Light the Night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
