Lowell Anthony is medical oncologist with a focus on neuroendocrine neoplasms. He is Professor of Internal Medicine, and Division Chief for Medical Oncology. Dr. Anthony received his undergraduate degree from King College, Bristol, Tennessee and his medical and postgraduate training in medical oncology and clinical pharmacology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, he was a Professor of Medicine at LSUHSC in New Orleans. Dr. Anthony is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. A skilled oncologist, Dr. Anthony has over 3 decades experience conducting clinical trials. Dr. Anthony is an active member of several professional organizations, including American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Federation for Medical Research, American Association for Cancer Research, Southwest Oncology Group, Southern Society for Clinical Investigation, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer and he was a founding member of the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS).
